Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories seeks a dedicated Technical
Coordinator II to enhance our Laboratory Services team. This role
requires technical proficiency and a deep understanding of medical
laboratory operations. The successful candidate will oversee daily
lab activities, ensure compliance with health regulations, and
maintain equipment in optimal condition. This position plays a
pivotal role in supporting clinicians through precise and timely
diagnostic testing, contributing significantly to patient care
outcomes. Oversee the operational management of laboratory
procedures and staff. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and
local regulations concerning health, safety, and environmental
policies. Train and supervise laboratory personnel in the use of
new equipment or testing techniques. Monitor and maintain
laboratory equipment to ensure functionality and accuracy.
Implement quality control procedures to enhance the reliability of
test results. Analyze workflow efficiency and implement process
improvements. Participate in the procurement of laboratory supplies
and negotiation with vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills. Proficient in using laboratory information systems.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Knowledge of
quality assurance and control procedures. Proficiency in a wide
range of laboratory diagnostic instruments. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification
as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist
(MT) by the ASCP or equivalent. A current state licensure as a
Clinical Laboratory Scientist, if required by state laws.
