Job Description We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to to join a leading manufacturer of high precision screws and fasteners in Buckeye, Arizona. Climate controlled warehouse $17-18 an hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies destined for sale to our customer base. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company truck. Wash and tumble parts as needed throughout the manufacturing process. Education and Experience: Minimum one year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Warehouse experience plus. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math. Must have a valid driver---s license and a good driving record. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips and purchase orders to acknowledge receipt of the goods. Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers. Must be capable of using electronic scales to calculate piece count and weight, and use that information to determine method of shipping. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Must be familiar with the most common warehouse/material handling equipment. Preference will be given to licensed forklift truck operators. Physical Demands : Required to drive the company truck. Required to lift up to 75 lbs. At times could be up to 100 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
