The Kinship Care & Adoptions program is seeking a Family Support
Specialist who will be responsible for making home visits within
Maricopa County. Job DutiesComplete home studies and courtesy
supervision services for children who are wards of the court
through visiting with children and their kinship caregivers, foster
parents, and/or adoptive parents in their homes.Use excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, to write both home
studies and monthly supervision reports.Help families connect to
community resources, advocate for the children's needs, and offer
supportive services through home visiting.Work in collaboration
with the Arizona Department of Child Safety in order to better
serve children and families.Responsible to maintain timely and
accurate client files.Establish a working partnership with
families, community providers, and your peers.
Qualifications;Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Development,
Counseling, or related field preferred.Microsoft Word, Windows
experience, and excellent written and verbal communication
skills.Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug
test.Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card preferred OR must
qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance
Card.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. Southwest Human

program. Compensation: Depends on experience; starting annual rate
