Job Description:

Manager, Accounting for Stryker Sustainability Solutions Inc. in Tempe, AZ

to perform daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable,

payroll functions, fixed assets, as well as general ledger accounting and

tax activities. Establish and exceed approved targets in line with budget

for accounting functions. Perform daily sales outstanding, sub-ledger

cleanliness, and accounts receivable aging. Manage monthly financial close

process. Research and resolve accounting issues, including evaluation and

implementation of new accounting pronouncements. Provide direction,

supervision, and coaching to the accounts receivable team and direct staff

accounting functions. Maintain and manage fixed assets. Assign

responsibilities for payroll, general ledger and tax activities. Work

closely with corporate to understand and implement global shared solutions.

Lead the division’s internal control, accounting, and reporting functions.

Participate in and lead departmental and/or divisional project based teams.

Design and implement process changes to drive efficiency and accommodate

improved customer service. Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel

required. Requires: Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in

Accounting, Finance or Economics plus three (3) years of experience in a

technical accounting role. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative

experience requirements not applicable to this section): analyzing and

interpreting complex financial data and ensuring accurate implementation of

accounting principles; creating or providing support for technical

accounting memos and preparing financial reports, statements and/or

projections; utilizing federal and state financial regulations and federal

tax regulations to ensure accounting compliance; identifying and reporting

compliance issues or emerging risks and developing and implementing

mitigation plans, including monitoring the effectiveness of internal

controls and compliance processes in a highly regulated industry; utilizing

Oracle Hyperion Financial Management for financial consolidation and

reporting; overseeing Fixed Asset Processes, including process

improvements, asset additions (timely placement and accurate depreciation),

asset disposals and fixed asset counts; and CPA licensure or equivalent
