General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Sr. Developer's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. Sr. Developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Skills and Abilities Include:


  • Master's degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, engineering, science, business administration, or related field or foreign equivalent
  • 3 years' progressive experience or bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, engineering, science, business administration or related field or foreign equivalent plus 5 years progressive experience to include:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing and customizing new and existing JD Edwards applications/user interfaces and reports in accordance with best practices and standard patterns
  • Advanced understanding of coding methods and best practices, relational database, and operating systems experience with DB2, SQL, and others as required

    Additional Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with reporting tools (Transform, BI Publisher)
    • Experience with JDE UDO's Orchestrator, Rest API's, E1Pages, and Watchlists
    • Experience with other development platforms like (.NET, C, C++, Java, SharePoint)
    • Experience writing technical documentation, requirements gathering
    • Experience designing and developing workflow-based solutions

      • Advanced ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
      • Excellent communication skills with resources from varying levels within the organization

        Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

        • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures, and collaborate with other developers and business analysts in developing new software programs and applications.
        • Participate in all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, programming, testing, maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting/resolution;
        • Define, develop, code, translate, test, analyze, and maintain new software programs and applications in support of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specs on a project-by-project basis using JDE Enterprise One development tools version 9.0 or higher
        • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems
        • Other duties as assigned by the Development Manager
