After completing more than 1,400 automated deliveries in California in 2018, Udelv launched a second-generation vehicle at CES 2019 and has since completed more than 7,000 automated deliveries on behalf of prestigious clients in Arizona and Texas. With its patented technology that fits the needs of last- and middle-mile delivery, Udelv has garnered hundreds of millions of dollars in orders and pre-orders and is on path to become one of the first AV companies to remove the safety operator on its B2B routes. Position Description: Udelv is seeking motivated, dependable delivery drivers in the Greater Phoenix Arizona area. This is an opportunity to learn receive paid training in the Autonomous Driving space and experience new technology firsthand!Responsibilities:Scan and load items onto company vehicle for daily delivery runOperate vehicle in a safe and responsible manner--Make multiple stops at both business and residential locations--Daily interaction with customers in a positive friendly mannerEnsure that vehicle is prepped and ready for following days deliveries--Other duties as assigned by manager including involvement in autonomous vehicle operations--Skill Requirements:--.Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record (DMV record will be obtained).Proven experience in a customer service oriented role in a service based industry.Must be able to demonstrate safe driving in all weather conditions, including rain.Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free.Able to drive for prolonged periods routinely exceeding eight or more hours.Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and possible overtime.Must have good vision, hearing and motor skills. Alertness and good driving instinct to monitor automated vehicle performance and supervision.Basic computer skills and ability to operate GPS. Linux experience is a plus.Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly both written and orally.Education required:--Exceptional ability and desire to learn new skills and tools. Ability to apply oneself in new problems in a dynamic lean start-up environment.Experience with ride-sharing applications, or route optimization applications, is preferable.
