Job Title: Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacy Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Variable shifts (days, nights, swing, and weekends) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy experience required License: Current and active state unrestricted Pharmacy license preferred Certifications: BLS certification within 30 days of hire. ACLS & PALS recommended (PALS can be obtained on-site). Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). - Two years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred. Description: Position involves working in a pharmacy that provides healthcare services. The environment is dynamic and offers opportunities for professional growth and personal development. A strong pharmacy team is in place, and the facility fills an average of approximately 1000 prescriptions daily. There are various clinics available, including a vaccine clinic and a warfarin clinic, with additional clinics being considered. The pharmacy participates in community outreach by engaging in health-related events. Collaboration with clinical teams beyond the pharmacy is a key aspect of the role. The pharmacists provide care to an underserved population and work within a collaborative healthcare team. Job involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations to ensure quality service delivery. Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures is part of the role. Participation in quality improvement initiatives is expected. The pharmacist will supervise staff and facilitate their professional growth. Management of purchasing and inventory functions is necessary to ensure timely availability of pharmaceuticals. Must prepare operational reports and identify areas for improvement. Participation in departmental training and educational programs is required to maintain current skills. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
