Job Description
As a Hospice Business Development Manager, you will drive growth and awareness of hospice services in the Scottsdale area through strategic marketing and relationship building. This role requires a dynamic, driven professional with a compassionate heart and preferably a proven track record in hospice care.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on developing and maintaining strong referral relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and community organizations. You'll work closely with clinical and leadership teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and high-quality care, while implementing strategic marketing and sales plans to meet and exceed growth targets.
The ideal candidate is a mission-driven professional who combines business development expertise with genuine compassion for patients and families navigating end-of-life care.

Duties and Responsibilities Drive growth and awareness of hospice services in the Scottsdale area through targeted outreach and relationship building. Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and community organizations. Implement strategic marketing and sales plans to meet and exceed growth targets. Educate professionals and the community about the benefits of hospice care. Work closely with clinical and leadership teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and high-quality care. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business development strategies. Represent the organization at community events, healthcare conferences, and networking opportunities. Prepare and deliver presentations to potential referral sources and community groups.









Required Experience/Skills 1-2 years of hospice experience preferred. Strong industry knowledge and established relationships in the Scottsdale healthcare market. Proven success in business development, sales, or marketing within hospice, home health, or related healthcare field. Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills. A compassionate and mission-driven mindset with a passion for helping others. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular travel throughout the service area.









Nice-to-Haves Experience with healthcare referral processes and regulations. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance hospice benefits. Background in healthcare, social work, or related field. Experience working with senior populations. Familiarity with community resources in the Scottsdale area.






Education
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
