inspiring. The medical assistant provides quality appropriate
patient care, utilizing customer service skills throughout the
patient care continuum. Primary Responsibilities:
- Collection and documentation of patient information to include
vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies,
health risk screen information, status of extended care benefits
and other services
- Participate in the monitoring of patients with chronic disease
and extended care benefits including verification of eligibility
and status of services
- Assist provider with the coordination and completion of patient
care plan
- Compliance with customer services standards, scheduling and
entering appointments, demographics and insurance information in
IDX
- Assist with phone calls and messages; document all calls and
actions taken
- Compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive
testing, maintenance of crash cart and medication count as well as
other requirements dictated by clinic needs
- Assist coworkers with duties when requested You ll be rewarded

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or relevant
experience
- BLS certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of
hire
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this
role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster
doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth
Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as
well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of
vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to
ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting or
experience in the military as a Medical Assistant/EMT
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
- Experience in primary care or specialty care such as
pediatrics, pain management, cardiology, urology, orthopedics,
oncology, senior care, obgyn, urgent care
- Bilingual English and Spanish To protect the health and safety
