Job Description Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled
and detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant with strong
experience in the construction industry to oversee and manage
project accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have at
least 3 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience, working knowledge
of Acumatica (preferred), and be proficient in AIA billing. This
role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and
compliance for multiple ongoing construction projects. Key
Responsibilities: Manage the full-cycle accounting for assigned
construction projects, including job cost tracking, revenue
recognition, and project financial reporting Prepare and submit AIA
billing applications (G702/G703 forms) in accordance with contract
terms and deadlines Review and analyze project budgets, contracts,
change orders, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and
compliance Maintain and reconcile job cost reports and general
ledger accounts related to assigned projects Collaborate with
project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to monitor
project performance and forecast costs Manage accounts receivable
and collections related to project billing Process subcontractor
billings, lien waivers, and ensure timely payments Utilize
QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and
reconciliations Support implementation and use of Acumatica ERP
system; help integrate workflows between systems (preferred) Assist
with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal
entries and financial statement preparation Ensure compliance with
GAAP, internal policies, and external regulations Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience , with at least 2 years in
a construction project accounting role Proficient in QuickBooks
(minimum 2 years of direct experience required) Experience with
Acumatica ERP (preferred) Strong knowledge of AIA billing processes
and forms Deep understanding of construction accounting principles
and job costing Excellent organizational skills and attention to
detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficient
in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Ability
to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Preferred
Qualifications: Experience with WIP (Work in Progress) reporting
