GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES Perform accurate and timely accounts payable and student activity functions for the Liberty Elementary School District . Assist with the monitoring of fiscal transactions and to work in cooperation to assure a smooth efficient operation of the Business Office. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Process accounts payable vouchers utilizing Citrix/Visions software Process purchase orders, invoices, vouchers and warrants in a timely manner (within District and vendor payment deadlines) Prepare Revolving Fund deposit and checks Receipt and process funds to the County Treasurer when necessary Prepare and submit journal entry information to Director of Finance as needed Process student activity requests timely Manage general fixed assets database Prepare monthly use tax returns Prepare 1099's annually Prepare correspondence with vendors as needed Assist with annual audit as required Other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required. Utilize office computer software including, but not limited to, accounting database, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, email, and internet applications. Citrix/Visions preferred. Operate office technology including, but not limited to, phone, computer, printer, fax, copier, and scanner. Good organizational skills and the ability to understand and carry out assigned work with minimal supervision. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with co-workers, administrators and the public. Follow and motivate others to follow standard purchasing procedures and practices. Knowledge/Experience in business office affairs, preferably school business. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus and monitor students on the periphery. WORKING ENVIRONMENT The employee regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
