following characteristics and skills: Roles & Responsibilities:
---MRB Support o Perform functional analysis for product
non-conformities based on design criteria, field serviceable
limits, and certification documents of aircraft structural and
mechanical systems design issues. o Direct interface with other
internal/external engineering areas involved on non-conformity
analysis. o Substantiate the disposition of non-conformities as
required and present it for the local authorities. o Interpret the
Stress Analysis Reports and documentation according to
certification regulations. o Suggest the required analysis to
substantiate changes to a component based upon the capability of
the production processes or suggest improvements to the current
process to reduce or eliminate MRB. o Provide engineering support
and review for production process improvements and changes. o
Evaluate fit, form, function and life of the components relative to
the certified configuration. ---Component Design and Analysis
Support o Capture system requirements from the customer and
incorporate into the component design o Develop components and
modules keeping cost, performance, life, and system requirements in
mind o Support team with their design and analysis of the component
using CAE tools (NX, ANSYS Classic, ANSYS workbench) o Apply
technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range
of challenging engineering problems. o Evaluate fit, form, function
and life of the components relative to the certified configuration.
o This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and
employee will also perform other tasks as assigned. Required Skills
(Technical Competency): ---25+ years of experience in the gas
turbine industry ---BS/B.Tech in Aerospace/Mechanical engineering
---Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time
constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously ---Ability to interact with employees/managers at
all levels with strong oral and written communication skills
---Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel required ---US
Citizen required due to the nature of work Desired Skills:
---Project Management experience is a plus Physical Requirements &
Work Environment: ---Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop
Floor involvement. ---Substantial amounts of telephone and computer
work. ---Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to
procedures. ---Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying
late or arriving early. ---This is a part time role, hours are
flexible from 8-29/wk ---Ability to use personal transportation to
